April fools? Your finds say not!

April Fools' Day is celebrated in many countries on the 1st of April every year. It is also in certain circles referred to as 'All Fools Day', April 1 is not a national holiday, but is widely observed as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other.

For example the French and Italians traditionally tack a paper fish on each other's back as a trick and shout 'april fish" (poisson d'avril or pesce d'aprile - in their respective languages).

The earliest recorded association between April 1 and foolishness can be found in Chaucers Canterbury Tales (1932).  Anyway there is lots more history on this, just google it!
