What is StuffAlert?
StuffAlert is an exciting new service that's designed to make it easier to
locate hard to find items or items that are likely to become available
sometime in the near future. . . . .
If there's something specific you want and it's not listed on eBay, we do
the searching for you 24/7 until it's found - instead of you having to keep
visiting eBay and manually searching, we do the hard work for you by
automatically searching eBay for you and then when somebody lists the exact
item you want, we locate it and send you an email or text message with a
link!
Why should I want to search for items NOT on eBay?
There are hundreds of thousands of items listed on eBay, but sometimes the
exact thing you want just isn't there, you might be looking for a battery
for a specific laptop or even a rare CD or book it may be that its something
so new that it's not available yet, so If that special item that you want
isn't on eBay, we can alert you as soon as somebody has one for sale.
What will happen if I try to search for items already on eBay?
Then a message will tell you that there is no need to set up an alert and
immediately present you with the matching item on eBay you are looking for.
How much does it cost?
It's totally FREE to join, create your own automatic eBay searches and have alert
emails sent to you when the item you are looking for gets listed by someone on eBay.
How does it work?
You simply create an account (FREE!) and choose a username and password for
your new account, then you log in and can set up automatic eBay searches for
items you are looking for by typing in specific keywords that describe the
item you are looking for. We then search eBay 24/7 until your item is found
and then send you an email with a link to your item!
No need for you to keep searching eBay - WE DO IT FOR YOU!
You just set up the automatic search ONE TIME!
You can add as many automatic eBay searches as you want
You can log in (securely) and switch alerts on or off easily

Which countries does StuffAlert work in?
Initially the USA (eBay.com) and the UK (eBay.co.uk) with more to follow!
Why would I want to use it?
It makes life easier! Why keep going to eBay and typing in your search
words each time and then being told: 0 results found? We can do that for you
24/7 and then send you the link in an email!
Do you ever need my eBay username and password?
No, your StuffAlert account is completely separate and only relates to your
automatic searches and alerts, when we find your item you receive a link to
eBay and then log in normally without disclosing your username and password
to anyone.
How do I switch off the alerts?
Just log in and you will see a list of the alerts you have saved, there are
tick-boxes for each one allowing you to easily delete or switch each one on
or off - easy!
Do eBay allow this kind of thing?
YES! We are a certified member of the eBay developer program!
I have more than one eBay account, is this OK?
No problemo - you can use whatever eBay account you like after we find your
item for you.
What happens if I bid on an item and then change my mind?
It's the same as using eBay direct.it's always best to be absolutely certain
before you bid or buy anything on eBay but if in doubt, just contact the
seller first.

How does Stuff Alert protect me from spoof emails?
Protecting your identity is an important aspect of staying safe online. Emails that are designed
to look as if they are from a company you know and trust asking for personal information,
so called ‘spoof emails’, is the method used by some identity thieves.
To help Stuff Alert Users tell the difference between emails sent by us and spoof emails,
Stuff Alert addresses emails it sends to you using your registered first and last name
together with your Stuff Alert User ID.
Please note: Since Stuff Alert sends many different types of emails, not all
will contain your name and User ID. If an email looks like it came
from Stuff Alert but doesn't include your name and User ID, it may still be
legitimate, but we recommend using caution.
Why does Stuff Alert include your name and User ID in emails?
People who send spoof emails generally don't have your first and last
name as well as your Stuff Alert User ID. So sending an email that contains this
information should increase your confidence that it was sent by Stuff Alert.
There may still be instances where spoof emails do contain your first and
last name as well as your Stuff Alert User ID, so inclusion of this information
doesn’t necessarily guarantee that the email is from Stuff Alert.
If this information in not included, you should exercise extra caution.
What should I do with a spoof email?
If you receive a suspected spoof or spam email purporting to have been sent by Stuff Alert,
simply click on contact us, select as the subject “Report spam or spoof email” from the
drop down box,
copy (using standard copy and paste process) into the body of the form
the email you suspect and then press ‘Send’.
So what happens if I want to change my email address?
You can log in and change any of your information at any time - easy.
What's with the fish?
His name is Fergus!
Is there a limit to the amount of alerts I can set up?
