How to sign in / sign out

To sign in, you first needed to have registered your details with us.

  • If you are not yet a member of StuffAlert and want to join, please click here to register.

Once you have registered with us you can sign in by using your Username (which is the username or email address you have registered with us) and your password. 

Below you will find the various ways by which you can sign in and sign out of StuffAlert.

 

 

Sign in - User Top Panel/Tab

  1. Signing in is simple, click on the 'sign in / register' tab located at the top right hand corner of every page.
  2. The drop down Sign in or Register User Panel (see below) will appear revealing the 'Username or email' and 'Password' boxes.
  3. Enter your username or email address with your password in the boxes.
  4. Click 'sign in' button and you will be signed in.

Sign in - Footer Menu - My Account 

  1. Another method of signing in, click on the "My Account" link located within the menu in the footer of every page you will be presented a sign in page (see below).
  2. The 'I have an account' should be selected (when it is selected the background of the box is yellow).
  3. Enter your username or email address with your password in the boxes. 
  4. Click 'sign in' button and you will be signed in.

Note: If you are on this page (that reveals 'I have an account' and 'I want to create an account'), clicking on the 'sign in / register' tab will reveal the the user panel/tab area. However the sign in boxes will only be shown in the page body, the system knows you already have input fields available on the page body!

Sign out - every page

  1. Signing out is simple, click on the "sign out" link, adjacent to your name which is located at top of every page near to our StuffAlert logo, see the example below.

Note: Click on your name [First name (username)] and it takes you to your account. Click on (not you?) that signs you out and presents the sign in page.

Sign out - User Top Panel/Tab

  1. Signing out is simple, click on the 'My Account' tab top right hand corner of evey page.
  2. The drop down tab will appear (see below).
  3. Then click 'sign out', which is located in the Manage My Account menu.

Oops - Error message!


If for whatever reason you get it wrong, the system will display the error message.

  1. Don't worry you just need to start again by  click on the 'sign in / register' tab top right hand corner of evey page.
  2. Or just click on the 'My Account' menu link located within the footer of every page.
  3. However, this message may be displayed becasue you have genuinely forgot the password for your account, no problem just click the 'Forgotten Password?' link in the message and follow the process to request a new password.
  4. Or alternatively if you have got into a real muddle and are stuck, click here to Contact Us and we will help you get back up and running as quickly as we can.
